Tag: Book Characters

G’day fellow readers! How are you all so far in the New Year? So today I will go ahead and do the ‘Character book Tag’, which will include a whole lot of questions in regards to the book I have read! So let’s go!

1 – Who is the best kick ass character

If you have to ask me this, then you obviously don’t know me very well since I have been ranting about this for SO LONG NOW😂 *cough* Rose Hathaway *cough* Did you expect something different???

2 – Which character do you most dislike?

Jesus, well, where do I start. I’m just going to put this out there, that this is my opinion and that is all. But I have never really been a big fan of John Green’s work, especially his book ‘Looking for Alaska’ and also ‘The Fault in our stars’. I did in fact read half (around there) of his book looking for Alaska and I just couldn’t do it. The main character was just so annoying. His narration just annoyed me so much I couldn’t deal with reading it anymore. Chill guys, don’t bite my head off!!

3 – If you could date any fictional character who would it be and why?

HEHEHe Well (probably the worst kind of question you could ask me, you can skip this if you like 😂) It would definitely NEED to be Dimitri. God just take me now, please (Sorry kids, cover your ears). I have this thing, it just can’t be explained. But he is the most djbewufburbgurhe character I have ever come across. Jesus Christ. I don’t even care.

4 – If you could change a character in any way what would it be and why?

Generally, I would change any character that’s so god damn (excuse the language) whiny!! WHY do authors think this is okay. It’s not!! Just stop, no one needs to hear this!

5 – What character to you made all the wrong choices that didn’t add anything to the book? *warning this is long and a rant, sorry*

OH GOD, I HAVE SO MANY. But one that sticks in my mind right now would have to be Theo Decker from the Goldfinch. As you probably have realised I haven’t finished the book yet, and let me tell you, IT’S BECAUSE THEO IS A PAIN IN THE ASS AND CAN’T GET HIS CRAP TOGETHER. Like seriously, he practically spent a good proportion of his time in this one place, getting pissed off his head and drugged up, and damned if I don’t understand, but how the hell is this in any way okay AND developed in the storyline. Look, kid, I get it, your mother died, your father abandoned you, you are practically homeless, But it doesn’t mean that your backlash against parental authority is okay. Especially in this manner. I feel like the author just spends so much time describing Theo getting so much off his head that it seriously just kills the story, I get it, he’s drugged up, meets another druggo (excuse) and they become friends. (Don’t hate on me, please, just my thoughts {more like rant})

6 – Out of five books you have chosen which character was the best villain whom you hate?

I can only think of Amy Dunne from Gone Girl. She was so twisted and crazy, and that made her so much more interesting! Especially how they showed her POV in the start, and in some points, she painted herself in such an innocent light, that when the shit hits the fan, it was chaos. I loved it, the author had me completely fooled!

7 – Favourite sidekick character with the most heart?

I think this would have to be Peeta. He doesn’t get much love in the first book (Only when she’s using him) but he has a heart of gold. He will forever look after Katniss and I just think he doesn’t get enough credit. (BTW HE’S WAY BETTER THEN GALE! *GASP!*)

8 – What is your favourite fictional romantic relationship

I have to admit, I have a bit soft spot in my heart for Dimitri and Rose’s relationship. They are just so perfect for each other and I guess that’s my ideal relationship – Where both people understand each other so much and care so much that they would die for each other. I must say though, Mead has written them so perfectly, I will forever love her as an author💓 (Yeah I know I go on about her a lot, including her books but I can’t help it!!)

9 – Best protagonist?

Okay I know I said I didn’t like the book that much and gave it 3 stars, but I really do think that Warm bodies did have a very interesting protagonist. I loved the idea, and it was very different. The way that the whole thing was put together was quite good. And I loved that R was set to be a zombie but have also had a part of his humanity. So yeah.

So that’s it guys, did you agree with anything that I said. If so please comment, even if you didn’t agree I think it would be great to hear your own POV. Have a great couple of days guys! See you in the next post on Friday!
